Two Weeks Away Until High Kick 3 – Poster Released

High Kick 3

High Kick: The Counterattack of the Short Leg is the third season of the very popular Korean sitcom. This time around the show revolves around the Ahn family. Ahn Nae Sang and Yoon Yoo Sun are the father and mother of the family and Suh Ji Suk and f(x)’s Krystal play the role as the son and daughter.

Will High Kick 3 be as funny as High Kick 1 and 2? It appears that Lee Soon Jae will not be in the third installment of High Kick and he is arguably the reason for the huge success of High Kick. I’m not sure High Kick will ever be the same without him.

Nevertheless, High Kick 3 is expected to change the image of some actors and actresses. Ahn Nae Sang is known to play the role of many hateful characters in past dramas and Yoon Yoo Soo played the role of a queen. Can they act as totally different characters?

The wait is almost over. High Kick 3 will air its first episode on September 19th.

The Cast of Padam Padam: The Sound of His and Her Heartbeats

That sure is a long title! So let’s just call it Padam Padam from now on.

Scriptwriter Noh Hee Kyung‘s new drama stars Jung Woo Sung (Athena) as the leading man. The title of the drama refers to the Edith Piaf’s French song.

The plot revolves around a man, Yang Kang Chil, a guy who served some time in prison due to a friend’s scheme. He meets a bubbly veterinarian, Jung Ji Na, and their love story unfolds. Jung Ji Na is played by Han Ji Min (Cain and Abel); this drama being her first drama in two years.

Cutie Kim Bum is also casted as a friend of Yang Kang Chil in jail. Kim Kyu Tae is the director of this drama, having directed IRIS and A Love to Kill. Padam Padam will premiere on December in the cable network, jTBC.

The Cast of Man of Honor

Upcoming KBS drama Man of Honor has casted its four leads. This drama is headline by Chun Jung Myung (The Duo, Cinderella’s Sister) and Park Min Young (City Hunter, Sungkyunkwan Scandal). The second leads were announced later and are Lee Jang Woo (Smile, Donghae) and Lee Jin (Hon).

This drama is the highly anticipated comeback of the team who brought us Baker King Kim Tak Gu, which was a smashing hit last year. The story is said to be about the dreams of a second-string baseball player (Chun) and a nurse aide (Park) as their lives intertwine.

Man of Honor premieres on October 12 after The Princess’s Man.

TVXQ’s Yunho to Cameo in Poseidon

TVXQ Yunho

TVXQ’s Yunho is gonna make a cameo appearance in the upcoming KBS drama, Poseidon.

Yunho was originally cast in Poseidon but he had to back out because of his busy overseas schedule and the setbacks this drama encountered. Still, Yunho promised his support by shooting a cameo appearance instead. He’ll be playing the team leader of the Poseidon task force.

Poseidon stars Choi Si Won (Athena, Oh My Lady) and Lee Shi Young (Playful Kiss) as members of a maritime police force. Lee Sung Jae (Lawyers of Korea) plays the chief.

Poseidon is set to air in September, following Myungwol the Spy.

Teaser of Ojakgyo Brothers starring UEE and Joo Won Revealed!

KBS has released a teaser video of its upcoming weekend drama, Ojakgyo Brothers, starring UEE (Birdie Buddy, You’re Beautiful) and Joo Won (Baker King Kim Tak Gu).

It is a story of a family with four sons who live in a farm near Seoul, with Tae Hee (Joo Won) is the third youngest son and a policeman. He falls in love with Ja Eun (UEE), an arrogant (I can see bratty and bitchy) young woman searching for her father.

Ojakgyo Brothers will premiere on August 6. The teaser is so funny and cute! Angry Birds!

Teaser for SBS’s Protect the Boss

The story revolves around No Eun Seol (Choi Kang Hee), who gets a job as a secretary at a law firm, after struggling with unemployment. Conflicts arise when she falls in love with her boss, Cha Ji Heon (Ji Sung), the immature youngest son of a chaebol family.

Protect the Boss will start airing on August 3 after City Hunter wraps.

First Script Reading for “Can’t Lose”

The cast list of MBC’s upcoming drama “Can’t Lose” has recently been decided. With that taken care of, rehearsals began for the new drama with a script reading on July 18th.  The story revolves around a married couple currently seeking a divorce. The story is designed to be a comedy, which is going to apparent from the start. Many of the cast members reportedly laughed a lot during the script’s first reading in response to the dialogue.

The married couple will be played by Choi Ji Woo and Yoon Sang Hyun. Great on-screen chemistry is expected from these two lead actors. The remaining cast consists of Kim Jung Tae, Jo Mi Ryung, Kim Ja Ok, and Park Won Sook.

Can’t Lose will premiere on August 24th, 2011.

Protect the Boss Releases Posters and Character Stills

Protect the Boss stars Choi Kang Hee as the secretary with the Operation Tame the Boss to Ji Sung, an immature chaebol. Jaejoong stars as Ji Sung’s cousin, who’s the complete opposite – the usual kdrama chaebol, while Wang Ji Hye as a lawyer and the fourth wheel to this romantic tangle.

Protect the Boss will start airing on August 3, replacing City Hunter.
